A CLEAR UNDERSTANDING

Terms of Use

These terms explain the rules for using Serving in, including its website, corps member portal, employer portal, and paid services. Read them alongside our Privacy Policy and, when purchasing a service, our billing terms.

1. Who we are and how to contact us

Serving in is operated by UniGrid Digital Technologies Limited, Nigeria.

For support, privacy requests, safety concerns, or complaints, email servinginofficial@gmail.com. Use a subject such as “Privacy request”, “Account support”, or “Billing query”. Include only the details needed to identify your account or order; never send passwords or payment-card details.

2. What Serving in provides

Serving in helps serving NYSC members find Primary Place of Assignment (PPA) opportunities and helps employers receive and manage applications across Nigeria’s 36 states and the FCT. We provide profile-based matching, private CV storage, application tracking, and employer tools.

Serving in is an independent platform. It is not operated, endorsed, or authorised by NYSC. A listing, match, application, employer verification, or offer does not guarantee employment, a placement, relocation, or NYSC approval. You must follow NYSC’s official posting, acceptance, and service procedures.

3. Eligibility and accounts

Corps member accounts are for people seeking opportunities relevant to their NYSC service. Employers must have authority to act for the organisation they represent. Provide accurate information, keep your profile current, and use only documents you are entitled to share. Do not impersonate another person or organisation or create an administrator account through registration.

Keep your login details confidential. You are responsible for activity you authorise through your account. Contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. We may request reasonable verification before acting on account requests.

4. Profiles, CVs, and applications

You keep ownership of the content you submit. You give us permission to store, display, and share it only as reasonably needed to operate the service, process your applications, and meet legal obligations, as explained in the Privacy Policy. Do not upload another person’s CV without authority or include unnecessary sensitive information.

When you apply, you authorise the relevant employer to review your profile and the CV attached to that application. Uploading a new CV does not replace documents attached to earlier applications. Withdrawing an application removes future access through that application but cannot recall a copy an employer has already downloaded.

5. Employer responsibilities

Employers must provide genuine opportunities and accurate information about duties, location, stipend, requirements, deadlines, and working conditions. Treat applicants fairly, protect their personal information, and use their profiles and CVs only for the recruitment purpose for which they were shared. Do not sell applicant data, add candidates to unrelated marketing lists, or disclose their documents without a lawful basis.

Verification is a platform review of submitted organisation information, not a guarantee of conduct, financial standing, workplace safety, or NYSC approval. Payment does not buy verification. Employers remain responsible for their recruitment decisions, workplace obligations, and applicable NYSC requirements.

6. Acceptable use

Do not publish fraudulent or misleading opportunities, request money from applicants as a condition of securing a PPA through Serving in, harass or exploit users, discriminate unlawfully, upload malicious files, infringe intellectual property, scrape private records, bypass access controls, or interfere with the service. Do not use the platform to arrange forged NYSC documents or evade official service requirements.

7. Matching and recruitment decisions

Profile-fit scores use entered deployment state, skills, and course of study. They are guidance, not professional assessments or hiring decisions. The current service does not automatically extract CV text. Employers decide whom to interview or offer a placement; NYSC retains its own authority. Sponsored opportunities are labelled and do not change profile-fit scores.

8. Free and paid services

Corps member access is free. Employers can use the Basic plan or purchase featured listings, assisted recruitment, or Employer Pro. The checkout shows the price and payment mode before purchase. Employer Pro renews monthly until cancelled; one-off purchases do not automatically renew. See the billing terms for service scope, cancellation, receipts, and refund requests.

Payments are currently configured for testing. Test purchases collect no real money and do not unlock live paid benefits. No real payment should be made through a test checkout.

9. Availability, changes, and account restrictions

We aim to keep Serving in available but cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free service. Features may change or be unavailable during maintenance. We may remove content or restrict accounts where reasonably necessary to address fraud, security risks, misuse, legal obligations, or breaches of these terms. Where appropriate, we will explain the action and provide a way to request review through our support email.

You may stop using the platform and request account closure by email. Closing an account does not by itself cancel a Paystack subscription; cancel renewal through Billing or the provider’s management page. Records may need to be retained for legal obligations, security, or unresolved disputes.

10. Responsibility and legal rights

You should make your own reasonable checks before accepting an opportunity or engaging an applicant. Serving in does not guarantee that another user’s information is complete or accurate. Each party remains responsible for its own acts and obligations under applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or limits consumer, privacy, or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Complaints, applicable law, and updates

Contact us first if you have a concern so we can investigate. These terms are governed by applicable Nigerian law, without limiting rights or remedies available to you under mandatory law. We may update these terms as the service develops. The date above identifies this version; material changes will be communicated through an appropriate platform notice or account communication.
